I. Plot
Santa Elena is an estancia located near the remote small village of La Cruz. It is home of the Villalba, the siblings Antonio, Agustín and Ana and their uncles Lisandro and Bernarda. They are close friends with Marcial Campos, the mayor of La Cruz. Elena Rodríguez, secretly the daughter of Lisandro, gets a job as a maid at the estancia, and falls in love with Agustín, who has just got married with Josefina. Julia Monterrey) gets a job as the teacher of Clara, the young daughter of Antonio, who is still reclusive after the death of his wife years in the past. Marcial and the doctor Victoria discover that the water of a lake somehow has the power to bring people back to life.
