I. Plot
‘Jovanka Antich’ is a romani woman who after 25 years returns to Mejillones, Chile to rejoin her father and her tribe. Along with her she brings her three beautiful daughters, ‘Maria Salome’, ‘Maria Jacobe’ and ‘Maria Magdalena’.
However, her return is met with conflict as the tension between romani and Chileans worsens and she and her daughter, Maria Salome, find themselves in love with a Chilean, which is forbidden by gypsy law. In addition, old secrets are unearthed for there was a reason for her disappearance a quarter of a century ago…
