I. Plot
“In the Atacama Desert, Chile, lies the saltpeter mine, ‘Pampa Illusion’ that after years of economic boom, faces an uncertain future due to global crisis.
The owner of this mine is ‘Mr. William Clark’, an English-born businessman, despot who finds himself bedridden due to his deteriorating health. He is further agitated by the arrival of his daughter ‘Agnes’, who along with her mother was rejected and exiled when she was just a newborn. After becoming a medical professional, she returns to ‘Pampa Illusion’ to meet her father and discover the reasons for the exile and humiliation suffered by her and her mother thirty years before.
However, Mr. Clark is not interested in meeting his daughter and goes as far to order her capture. In order to achieve her goals and protect her life, Agnes disguises herself as a male doctor and becomes her father’s attending physician.”
